ReplyDeleteI don't think you quite understand the sport. It is about representing male superiority through SCALE as much as shape. Bigger is better in this sport – across the board. While arguments can be made in favor of smaller scale resulting in better balance, there is a HUGE factor of sheer brutish mass that MUST be assessed.
DeleteNaked bodybuilding standards are not to everyone's personal tastes just as non-naked bodybuilding standards are not. But bigger, freak dick is what WINS, and while the judges DO worry about balance, their job is also to reward sheer SIZE. A bigger dick is just more masculine in this game.

Thanks for telling me that it’s a sport, for it certainly is not cricket! As a relative newcomer to this blog, I have flipped back through many of the shots over the past few years to try to get a feeling for what is happening. In spite of your explanations about size, scoring methods etc, I have the distinct impression that in 2014, there is a definite trend towards balance of cock and body, rather than just sheer cock size and overdeveloped knotted muscles. I am sure you are right in saying that this is what people want, but might they not also appreciate another approach? I have been competing in bodybuilding for many years (decades) and it is a thrill to see how consistent the IFNB world is to competitive bodybuilding at large. Often it makes sense to me "why" things operate the way they do because I understand competitive bodybuilding, but I can see why those who are less familiar with the sport may not always see the logic behind the choices here. It seems limited and specific, but it is only to adhere to corollary ideas about bodybuilding.
One awesome thing about this site is that it understands what makes "good fantasy." All good fantasy has rules; fantasy is about bending rules, not ignoring them for the sake of more options. While the IFNB bends and contorts it's rules about competitive bodybuilding – in amazing, sexy and extreme ways – those rules meanwhile remain consistent unto themselves, and consistent with competitive bodybuilding. I hope this explains why some things don't happen, some things are the way they are, and why certain focuses are maintained.
